Bloodless Mushroom Bio

Bloodless Mushroom started in 1997 with a few music tracker experiments. Since then it has evolved into a multi-faceted instrumental electronic project that combines elements of ambient, industrial, and classical to create soundscapes.

It is the project of one person, Jason Champion, who is a multi-instrumentalist skilled with bass, guitar, synthesizer, and hand drums. In addition to playing physical instruments, some of the sounds of Bloodless Mushroom come from custom-programmed audio software, some of which is avaiable as open-source. Originally from the snowy lakes of Michigan, he now creates music from the soggy forests of Oregon.

Bloodless Mushroom has collaborated with Dr. Kilpatient on their Prototype IV album, which included variants of tracks found on the Spores album.
